“ Really nice pub atmosphere; excellent bartender; super fish and chips. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend this place. ”
“ One of my favorite places to meet for a quiet drink is Fox and Hounds Tavern at the Cheshire Inn. It’s been around forever and still has not lost the charm of a tiny pub you discovered that is dark, mysterious and strangely comforting. Grab a pint, a plate of chips and enjoy! ”
“ Wow, my wife and I visited The Cheshire Hotel on our first night. We were too tired to go anywhere else, and Basso’s had a 120 minute wait. Upon seating, we realized we had to go to the bar to order. Looking at the menu, we both felt a bit disappointed in the offerings. We both opted for the burger, and my wife upgraded our fries to loaded fries with fried pickles so we could share them. Let me tell you, our mouths dropped and our eyes stared at each other after we took our first bite into the burger! The bacon, cheese, and flavor were mind-blowing...by far the best burger I’ve ever had! Our loaded fries and fried pickles were also amazing! And the best part? It’s not overpriced! Now, something to keep in mind is that the restaurant has limited seating and a dark, rustic environment. So, if you’re hard of seeing, be prepared. However, my wife and I both agree that this is a place you must visit to enjoy the full experience! ”
“ This tiny British themed bar is located just inside the entrance to the Cheshire Hotel. My wife and I happened to stop in on a Saturday night and it was full of people. A fine 3 piece jazz band was playing in the far end of the room. We happened to get a small 2 person booth in the back but we were lucky because space was limited that night. The room is dark and cozy and provided an interesting backdrop for a drink. Cocktails, wine, and beer are all available. Limited food menu options, mostly pub fare. ”
“ Great intimate english pub. Service is top-notch. Haven't tried the food but have heard good things. ”
“ My husband and I went to the Fox and Hound for a drink by the fire. We ordered at the bar and sat in chairs by the fire. It's so very cozy especially when the temperature is in the single digits. ”
“ Cozy. Wonderful tavern with lots of atmosphere and charm. Feels like rustic England. Dimly lit room. Dark wood, oil paintings, and taxidermy with a homey hearth. Music was a much-appreciated blend of classic tunes, post-punk, and other goodness: Beatles, Motorhead, The Cure, Joy Division, The Smiths, Radiohead, etc. Local brews on tap from Heavy Riff, Civil Life, and others. Excellent location for a fireside conversation with friends. ”
“ I REALLY love the cozy tavern feel. The drinks were just okay, but the atmosphere, service, and food were all really good, so this still gets 5 stars. We got fish and chips and Shepard's pie. ”
